One thing I haven't commented on - but have had a wonderful experience with - is the Vancouver Transit system. I've been carted around many places by many bus services,but have never seen a service as well run as this.Travel options are everywhere - with busses and the SkyTrain. I haven't been.in a car since I got here and LOVE it. The Trans-Link transit staff are simply amazing -
My accreditation basically has me travelling free everywhere I want to go - with helpful drivers and staff ready to answer ANY and all questions.Even this morning, when my housemates LOCKED me out of the house and my accreditation was inside, I managed to hop on trains and busses all day. The drivers just seem to want to help - and this includes looking the 'other way' when someone doesn't pay!
Talk about 'big picture' thinking ...
Kudos to VANOC and Trans-Link for actually making public transit FUN!
